What’s it for

Adding and managing action items is crucial for tracking tasks, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring that identified issues and improvements are addressed effectively, contributing to project success and process improvement.

How it works

After notes are revealed, the session host, identifies insights suitable for conversion into actionable items. 

Add retro action items in Slack

  1. In the dedicated channel, locate Actioner's inital channel notification, and then click on the Add action item button beneath.
  2. In the prompted form, fill in key details such as the action item's status, description, assignees, and due date.
  3. After completing the form, click the Create button to generate an action item.

💡Keep in mind that; only the session host can add action items.

View retro action items in Slack

  1. In the dedicated channel, again find Actioner's notification, and then click on the Show Action Items button button beneath.
  2. You'll see a list of action items that came up during our retrospective meeting. These tasks are things we need to do or fix. If you want to change or remove any of these tasks, you can do that by clicking the three dots next to each item on the list.

💡Remember, only the session host can change or delete these tasks.

How to get started

  1. Install Retrospective app to your Actioner workspace.
  2. Call Actioner by typing /actioner in Slack and select the Create Retrospective workflow to create a new Retrospective session. ,
  3. After the notes are revealed, you can run Add action item and Show action items workflows effortlessly.
