After installing this app and connecting your Slack workspace, proceed to setup and select your team’s Slack channel. Actioner will start collecting B-days of channel members in Slack and create reminders to congratulate everyone on their birthdays. If anyone prefers to keep their birthday private, they can opt out of birthday celebrations as well. You can customize how this app works with the options available during setup. You can select the time to celebrate birthdays, whether to receive welcome messages in your selected channel or ask your team about their birthdays through DM. More than that, you can select if you want your team to get reminded through direct messages when it is someone’s birthday. When selected, Actioner lets everyone decorate their own message with a GIF and prompts to send a private congratulations message to make her feel special! You can also use one day or a one-week before reminders to plan your co-workers’ birthdays ahead. Apart from birthdays, you can also add anniversaries and custom celebration days to Actioner. Run this workflow to add or update your own birthday. If you enable the "Keep my birthday private" option, your birthday will not be shared with your co-workers.

Add user's anniversary

Run this workflow to add or update a coworker's hire date. If you enable the "Keep anniversary private" option, your co-worker's hire date will not be shared with others in your team.

Set up a new team

Run this workflow to set up a new team by selecting your team to receive birthday and anniversary celebration messages. Don't forget to invite Actioner app to the selected channel in Slack!

Daily check

This workflow performs daily checks to determine if anyone has a birthday on that day, if anyone will have a birthday the following day or week, and if there is a work anniversary or a custom event celebration on that day. After conducting the daily checks, it generates messages and organizes celebrations accordingly.
