JSM connection
Learn how to connect with JSM Service Management (JSM).
Actioner connects with JSM through OAuth2 and API key.
Add a new JSM connection
If your app contains a JSM connection, you can skip this step and proceed to authentication with your credentials.
To add a new connection, go to App settings tab of your app and click + Add new connection. Select JSM (OAuth2) option and enter a name.
You have to be an app admin to add a new connection to your app.
OAuth2 authentication with JSM
To authenticate in JSM with OAuth2
- Click Connect near the JSM connection. You can find the connection on Description tab of your app.
If you are an app admin, you can also update connection properties and complete authentication on App settings tab of your app.
You will be asked to sign in to your JSM instance if you haven't already.
Select your JSM instance that will connect with your Actioner workspace.
Click Accept to grant permission to Actioner app in JSM. You’ll be redirected to Actioner upon successful authorization.
Sharing scope
If you are an app admin, you can enable Shared credentials option if you want all users to run actions with the credentials you entered. When disabled, to execute requests and actions, each user completes authentication with their credentials.
You need to Reconnect after enabling or disabling Shared credentials.
Reconnecting
If your JSM instance URL or credentials change, you can reconnect Actioner with JSM.
Find the connection on Description tab of your app, click ... ellipsis and select Reconnect. Enter your credentials and complete authorization on the opening screen.
If you are an app admin, you can also reconnect on App settings tab of your app.
