Running actions in Slack

Actioner helps streamlining your work by bringing actions from disparate apps into one place. Reduce the time of switching back and forth between your apps or looking for your tool’s bot to run a simple job. You can quickly run any action in Slack through Actioner’s Slack app.

  • Running an action through Actioner shortcut

    In Slack, type /actioner and then find the action you want to run - either by typing its name or selecting it from dropdown. Continue with entering parameters to your action.

  • Running an action through an action button

    Actioner sends Slack notifications through apps. Slack notifications contain action blocks that you can interact with. By clicking an action button on a Slack notification sent by Actioner, you can run an action by entering its parameters.

After running an action, you can switch between different output views and share them with your team in your preferred Slack channel.

Running actions in Actioner is simple. Go to action bar from left menu and start typing the name of your action. As you type, action bar enables you to find and select your action from a list of auto-suggested options. Continue with entering parameters with smart suggestions.

You can switch to form view by clicking form icon on the action bar. When all is set, run your action and browse through outputs.
